Your Job

As a SoftwareProject Manager in Molex's Copper Solutions Business Unit, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining project management toolset, monitoring progress of long duration projects, providing detailed updates to the management team. Leveraging your knowledge in software toolkit, you will contribute to various key areas in software project management.

Within CSBU, the Software Solution Group (SSG) serves as the central nervous systemconnecting and contributing to most product domains through advanced traceability, manufacturing support, and analytics for high-speed electrical interconnects. By integrating innovative software solutions, we enable seamless information flow and rapid response to market demand, driving efficiency throughout the Datacom & Specialty Solutions (DSS) division.

What You Will Do

  • Lead planning, execution, and delivery of complex long duration software development projects.
  • Collaborate with technical and non-technical teams to define requirements and project scope.
  • Develop and manage project schedules and resource allocation.
  • Facilitating daily standup calls, monitoring progress of projects.
  • Identify risks and proactively implement mitigation strategies
  • Communicate progress & challenges to stakeholders.
  • Drive project discussions.
  • Maximizing project efficiency and profitability.
  • Develop scope and parameters for project implementation in both Agile & Waterfall models.
  • Identify project responsibilities, delegate phases and elements to the appropriate personnel.
  • Consult with supervisor and adjust priority according to needs as they arise.
  • Track project performance and analyze the completion of key goals.
  • Document and report project progress to supervisor.
  • Assist in developing and controlling the full project-plan lifecycle.
  • Inform supervisors promptly of any schedule changes and work closely with all stakeholders to ensure requirements are met.
  • Oversee scheduling, and project boards - JIRA, and report regularly to supervisor on progress as well as on problems that could significantly affect cost or schedule.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing within the team.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)


  • 57+ years of project management experience in software development.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (any stream).
  • Strong understanding of Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical teams.
  • Skilled at-risk identification and mitigation.
  • Proficient with project management tools (e.g., JIRA).
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and solve complex problems.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and knowledge sharing.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (or equivalent experience).
  • Passion for driving results and fostering a high-performing team culture.
  • Sense of ownership and accountability.
  • Contribution Minded with Can-Do Attitude.

What Will Put You Ahead


  • Experience managing large-scale or multi-year software projects.
  • Advanced certification(s) in project management (e.g., PMP, PMI-ACP).
  • Hands-on technical background in software engineering or architecture.
  • Demonstrated success in driving process improvements or transformation initiatives.
  • Experience working with distributed or global teams.
