Job Descriptions:

Position: Software Engineer Leader

Location: Bengaluru

Experience: 10+ years

Primary Responsibilities:

• Assign jobs to team members.

• Lead implementation and unit testing activities.

• Lead code reviews and unit test plan reviews.

• Approve implementation-level CCB requests.

• Manage schedules and milestones for project teams.

• Support resolution of project bugs and technical issues.

• Guide engineers in issue analysis, enhancements, and bug investigations.

• Collaborate with the SA team on new technologies and component development.

• Provide engineer training and mentoring.

• Develop, maintain, and debug switch functionalities including drivers, L2/L3 protocols, applications, security features, and QoS.

• Maintain and enhance software performance for existing products.

• Study networking protocols and RFC specifications.

• Develop Network OS Hardware Abstraction Layer (HAL).

• Analyze switch chip behavior, CPLD, hardware boards, and peripheral devices.

• Design, develop, and test switch system software.

• Provide technical documentation and customer support.

Secondary Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet customer requirements.

• Demonstrate passion for software design and continuous learning.

Required Qualifications:

• Strong proficiency in C programming.

• Familiarity with Python.

• Strong understanding of operating systems, data structures, and algorithms.

• Experience with Linux/RTOS and networking technologies.

• Knowledge of switch L2 and L3 protocols.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with OSPF, BGP, VxLAN, GRE, and EVPN development.

• Experience in switch hardware stacking development.

• Embedded systems programming, Linux shell scripting, and kernel driver development.

• Knowledge of NAND/BE-NAND Flash drivers and SFP/SFP+/QSFP+/CSFP modules.

• Knowledge of Secure Boot and Root of Trust (RoT) solutions.
