Your day to day
In your day-to-day role, you will
- Lead and mentor a high-performing engineering team, fostering growth, collaboration, anda strong teamculture.
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners including product managers and data scientists to deliver impactful, intuitive solutions.
- Ensure adherence to engineering best practices and governance standards in support of data-driven decision-making.
- Drive both technology and product innovation through rapid prototyping and iterative development
- Be a technical subject matter expert and represent the full internal and external capabilities of the platform.
- Lead complex architectural discussions that involve multiple systems
- Identifyany product/functionality gaps and collaborate internal product and technology teams to define the necessary development to support solution delivery.
- Drive integration efforts and lead critical work streams of strategic initiatives sponsored by senior executives
- Drive engineering excellence through CI/CD
- Proactive response inidentifyingand troubleshooting integration or technical issues.
- Actively involve in stakeholder communication and setting right priorities for the work
What do you need to bring-
To excel in this role, you must have
- 10+ years of experience in building successful production software systems.
- Proven experience in leading and managing high-performing software engineering teams, including performance management, team development, and strategic planning
- Expert in Object Oriented Programming, Software Design Patterns, Automated Testing and Deployment
- Extensive experience in developing Backend Applications using Java/J2EE and related frameworks like Sprint Boot, Hibernate, JPA,RestFulweb services etc.
- Exposure to Cloud will be an added advantage
- Bachelors degree in computer science or related field
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to implement user-friendly features and interfaces.
- Conduct code reviews to ensure code quality, maintainability, and adherence toestablishedstandards.
- Stay up to date with the latest development trends, tools, and technologies, and recommend best practices to enhance team productivity and product quality.
- Participate in Agile development processes, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
- Mentor junior engineers, providing guidance, support, and knowledge sharing to foster their professional growth and development.
