Roles & Responsibilities:
- Talent Growth & People Leadership: Lead, mentor, and manage a high-performing team of engineers, fostering an environment that encourages learning, collaboration, and innovation. Focus on nurturing future leaders and providing growth opportunities through coaching, training, and mentorship.
- Partner closely with product team owners, the business team including scientists, and other collaborators to lead the software engineering solutioning, ensuring deliverables are completed on time and within scope to deliver real value and meet business objectives
- Design, develop, and implement applications and modules, including custom reports, interfaces, and enhancements
- Analyze and understand the functional and technical requirements of applications, solutions and systems and translate them into software architecture and design specifications
- Develop and implement unit tests, integration tests, and other testing strategies to ensure the quality of the software
- Work closely with product team, business team including scientists, and other collaborators

Basic Qualifications:
- Masters degree with 4 - 6 years of experience in Computer Science, IT, Computational Chemistry, Computational Biology/Bioinformatics or related field OR
- Bachelors degree with 6 - 8 years of experience in Computer Science, IT, Computational Chemistry, Computational Biology/Bioinformatics or related field OR
- Diploma with 10 - 12 years of experience in Computer Science, IT, Computational Chemistry, Computational Biology/Bioinformatics or related field
- Excellent leadership and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- Proficient in General Purpose High Level Language (e.g. NodeJS/Koa, Python or Java)
- Proficient in Javascript UI Framework (e.g. React or ExtJs)
- Proficient in SQL (e.g. Oracle, PostGres or Databricks)
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in implementing and supporting custom software development for drug discovery
- Strong understanding of cloud platforms (e.g AWS) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
- Experience in automated testing tools and frameworks (e.g. Jest, Playwright, Cypress or Selenium)
- Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
- Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Spark, Databricks)
- Experienced with API integration, serverless, microservices architecture
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk)
- Experience of infrastructure as code (IaC) tools (Terraform, CloudFormation)
- Experience with version control systems like Git
- Strong understanding of software development methodologies, mainly Agile and Scrum
- Strong problem solving, analytical skills; Ability to learn quickly & work independently; Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Professional Certifications
AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner preferred
