THE ROLE
Join us to lead a new Production Engineering team focused on accelerating innovation and creating a fun, rewarding developer experience across the entire organization. You will be instrumental in defining and delivering the systems, tools, and processes that drive Engineering Productivity. This role is a mission to scale our engineering excellence by collaborating closely with all product and development teams to implement state-of-the-art CI/DevOps services and essential developer infrastructure.
What You'll Do
- Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing Production Engineering team, establishing a culture of technical excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Define and own the strategic roadmap for our common CI/DevOps Services, Developer Tools, and Observability infrastructure, ensuring scalability, reliability, and ease of use.
- Drive significant improvements in overall engineering velocity and efficiency by defining, measuring, and reporting on key Engineering Productivity metrics.
- Collaborate across the entire engineering organization to gather requirements and champion the adoption of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and modern Platform/Infrastructure as a Service (PaaS/IaaS) solutions.
- Provide hands-on technical guidance and direction for the team's projects, including the design and implementation of highly scalable build, test, and release pipelines.
What You Bring
- Proven technical leadership experience in an engineering team, with a strong background in software development or infrastructure and a focus on Engineering Productivity or DevOps.
- Deep expertise in the design, implementation, and maintenance of scalable build, test, and release infrastructure and automated deployment systems.
- Exceptional ability to recruit, hire, and successfully scale engineering teams while providing technical mentorship and career development guidance.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a track record of driving complex, cross-functional projects to successful completion.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of articulating technical strategy and progress to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- We are primarily an in-office environment and therefore, you will be expected to work from the Bangalore office in compliance with Pure's policies, unless you are on PTO, or work travel, or other approved leave.
