About the Role

We're looking for a hands-on Software Engineering Manager to lead and grow a high-performing engineering team building scalable, cloud-native applications. This role blends technical leadership and people leadership, requiring strong execution, architectural thinking, and the ability to mentor engineers while delivering client value.

You will collaborate closely with Product, Architecture, and client stakeholders to deliver secure, scalable, and production-grade systems.

Your Area of Focus

• Lead, mentor, and grow a team of software engineers
• Foster a culture of ownership, quality, and continuous improvement
• Drive hiring, onboarding, innovation and performance development

• Drive technical design and architecture using Java and Spring Boot
• Guide development of scalable microservices and APIs
• Ensure strong engineering practices across the SDLC

• Oversee deployment and operations on Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Ensure reliability, security, and scalability of distributed systems
• Promote observability, monitoring, and resilience patterns

• Design and manage robust data systems
• Ensure performance, data integrity, and secure access patterns

• Work closely with customers and stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable solutions
• Align engineering execution with product goals and delivery timelines
• Promote best practices around testing, CI/CD, DevOps, and documentation

Your Professional Qualifications

• 10+ years of software engineering experience 
• 4+ years of engineering management experience, including managing teams of 10+ engineers across various levels, including Software Development Engineers in Test (SDETs)
• Strong hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot
• Proven experience building and operating systems on GCP
• Solid understanding of relational databases, especially MySQL
• Experience with microservices, REST APIs, and cloud-native architectures
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills

• Experience in the US healthcare domain (claims, eligibility, EHR/EMR, HIPAA compliance)
• Experience with Kubernetes, especially GKE
• Exposure to event-driven systems (Pub/Sub, Kafka)
• Prior experience in SaaS or regulated environments
• Passion for developer productivity, mentoring, and team scaling
