Job Summary
We are seeking a seasoned Engineering Manager with a strong background in .NET or Java technologies to lead and grow engineering teams building scalable, high-quality enterprise applications. This role requires a blend of hands-on technical expertise, people leadership, and delivery ownership.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of software engineers across .NET or Java-based systems
- Provide technical leadership in system design, architecture, and code quality
- Drive Agile/Scrum execution, sprint planning, and delivery commitments
- Collaborate with Product, QA, DevOps, and Architecture teams
- Translate business requirements into technical roadmaps and execution plans
- Ensure scalability, performance, security, and reliability of applications
- Conduct code reviews and enforce engineering best practices
- Support hiring, onboarding, performance management, and career development
- Proactively identify risks and resolve technical and delivery challenges
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 10+ years of overall software development experience
- 3+ years of experience in an Engineering Manager / Technical Manager / Tech Lead role
- Strong expertise in either:
- .NET Stack: C#, .NET Core, ASP.NET MVC/Web API, Entity Framework
- OR
- Java Stack: Java, Spring / Spring Boot, Hibernate, RESTful services
- Experience with Microservices architecture
- Strong knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases (SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB)
- Hands-on experience with REST APIs, design patterns, and SOLID principles
- Exposure to Cloud platforms (Azure / AWS / GCP)
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills
