About the Role

As a Lead Software Engineer, you will guide and collaborate with others, contribute technical expertise, and help solve complex challenges. You will take part in large-scale, cross-functional development initiatives and play a key role in designing and improving systems that are resilient and scalable.

Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively with technical teams to refine and finalize software design for robust applications.
  • Mentor and support team members of varied backgrounds and experiences in software development practices.
  • Act as a technical resource and facilitator for external partners and stakeholders.
  • Serve as a point of contact for technical questions, promoting knowledge sharing and inclusive problem-solving.
  • Participate in conversations with clients including Tier 1 financial institutions to provide input and foster collaborative innovation.

Requirements

  • You have hands-on experience with Java and Springboot and working knowledge of JavaScript (Vue.JS) and architectural principles.
  • You understand data management (RDBMS, NoSQL, data lakes, Hadoop), container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes), and cloud services (Azure, AWS, or similar).
  • You demonstrate strong organizational, planning, and time-management skills, and can coordinate projects of varied size and complexity across diverse teams.
  • You have experience leading teams to identify and troubleshoot challenges and communicate solutions effectively to a wide audience.
  • You communicate clearly and respectfully, adapting your style for different audiences and ensuring information is accessible to all.

Leadership and Team Support

  • Support and encourage team members by providing resources, guidance, and opportunities for growth.
  • Foster an environment of feedback and continuous learning, empowering all team members to take ownership of their contributions.
  • Lead the development and review of technical standards, promoting best practices and inclusivity.
  • Collaborate directly with customers and end users, seeking out diverse perspectives to inform better solutions and drive innovation.
