Software Engineer

The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing high-quality applications. They will also be responsible for designing and implementing testable and scalable code.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy robust Java-based applications.
• Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Develop and optimize database solutions using Sybase and MongoDB.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following coding standards and best practices.
• Collaborate with architects, business analysts, QA teams, and stakeholders.
• Troubleshoot production issues and perform root cause analysis.
• Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to quality standards.
• Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Support CI/CD initiatives and Agile development practices.

Technical Skills

• Strong hands-on experience in Core Java, Java 8/11/17.
• Experience with Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Framework.
• Strong expertise in Sybase Database development, query optimization, stored procedures, and performance tuning.
• Hands-on experience with MongoDB design, development, and administration concepts.
• Experience working with RESTful APIs and Microservices architecture.
• Good understanding of SQL, database design, and data modeling.
• Knowledge of messaging systems such as Kafka, JMS, or RabbitMQ is desirable.
• Experience with Git, Maven, Jenkins, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with Linux/Unix environments.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in Banking, Financial Services, or Capital Markets domain.
• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Experience with containerization tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science or related field
• Development experience with programming languages
• SQL database or relational database skills
