Software Engineer (Windows and Web Applications)

Key Responsibilities:

1. Development Tasks:

• Design, build, unit test, and document both Windows and Web-based applications.
• Take ownership of individual development tasks, ensuring the detailed design of projects.

1. Collaboration with Lead Architects:

• Work with lead architects to conceptualize and prototype solutions.
• Present solutions to development teams and document necessary business components and database objects.

1. Technological Recommendations:

• Provide recommendations on technological solutions to meet business objectives.

1. Team Coordination:

• Collaborate with onshore and offshore software engineers, as well as cross-functional teams, to deliver solutions and complete project tasks.

1. Deployment Instructions:

• Produce accurate deployment instructions for efficient implementations across development, QA, staging, and production environments.

1. Performance & Scalability:

• Benchmark and optimize application code to enhance performance and scalability.
• Recommend and implement strategies for improving application performance.

1. Design Documentation:

• Create high-level and detailed design documentation for solutions.

1. Environment Support:

• Assist the operations team with any environment-related issues during deployment.

1. Issue Investigation and Resolution:

• Investigate system issues, isolate the root cause, and develop strategies to resolve them.
• Work with operations and infrastructure teams to implement fixes.

Required Skills & Technologies:

• C#, .NET, ASP.NET
• SQL Server, MSMQ, WCF, REST
• Strong experience in both Windows and Web-based applications development.
• Excellent skills in designing and documenting solutions.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Strong focus on performance and scalability.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting and issue resolution across environments.
• Ability to produce clear and concise deployment instructions.

Qualifications:

• 5-8 years of relevant experience in C#, .NET, ASP.NET, SQL Server, MSMQ, WCF, and REST technologies.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work independently.
• Experience with full software development life cycle and deployment processes.
