Software Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated, talented and experienced Software Engineer to join our growing technology team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, deploying, and supporting scalable web and cloud-native applications. You will play an integral part throughout the entire software development lifecycle, from requirements analysis and solution design to implementation, deployment, and production support.

The ideal candidate is passionate about technology, possesses strong problem-solving skills, and has hands-on experience with modern cloud platforms, microservices architecture, containerization technologies, and DevOps practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable, secure, and high-performing applications using modern software development practices.
• Build and support microservices-based architectures for enterprise-grade applications.
• Design, implement, and deploy cloud-native solutions on Microsoft Azure.
• Develop and manage containerized applications using Docker, Azure Container Apps (ACA), and/or Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
• Configure and manage Kubernetes workloads, including deployments, services, ingress controllers, autoscaling, secrets management, and monitoring.
• Design and implement RESTful APIs, OpenAPI/Swagger specifications, and event-driven solutions.
• Integrate applications using messaging and event-streaming technologies such as Azure Service Bus, Event Grid, Event Hub, RabbitMQ, or Kafka.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar platforms.
• Ensure software quality through secure coding practices, code reviews, testing, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Perform troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and incident resolution for production systems.
• Collaborate closely with software developers, UX designers, business analysts, system analysts, and QA teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Contribute to system architecture discussions, technical design reviews, and technology evaluation initiatives.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• Technical Skills & Experience
• Minimally 2 to 3 years of software development experience.
• Hands-on experience in one or more programming languages and frameworks such as:

1. Java
2. .NET
3. Python
4. JavaScript
5. Angular

• Experience building and supporting enterprise web applications and cloud solutions.
• Knowledge of microservices architecture and distributed systems design.
• Experience with Docker containerization and container lifecycle management.
• Practical experience with Microsoft Azure services and cloud-native application deployment.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes platforms, including AKS and/or Azure Container Apps.
• Experience developing and consuming RESTful APIs and integration services.
• Experience working with relational and NoSQL databases, including:

1. Microsoft SQL Server
2. PostgreSQL
3. MongoDB

• Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines and DevOps best practices.
• Familiarity with secure software development and vulnerability remediation practices.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
• Experience supporting and operating production systems at scale.
• Understanding of cloud security, monitoring, observability, and performance optimization.
• Knowledge of event-driven architecture and messaging technologies.
