Overview

HCL is seeking 100 full-time Remote Software Engineers to join our dynamic Information Technology team. Based in Madurai, Tamil Nadu, India, you will design, develop, and deliver cutting‑edge software solutions that drive client success and business growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, code, test, and deploy high‑quality software applications using modern programming languages and frameworks.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to gather requirements, define technical specifications, and ensure alignment with business goals.
• Maintain and improve existing codebases, refactoring for performance, scalability, and security.
• Participate in code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and uphold best coding practices.
• Implement automated testing and continuous integration pipelines to ensure reliable releases.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues promptly, minimizing downtime for clients.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends to drive innovation.
• Document technical designs, processes, and user guides for internal and client use.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 2+ years of professional experience in software development.
• Proficiency in at least one major programming language (e.g., Java, C#, Python, JavaScript).
• Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and object‑oriented design.
• Experience with version control systems such as Git.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to work independently in a remote environment.
• Effective communication skills in English, both written and verbal.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
• Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and microservices architecture.
• Knowledge of CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).
• Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Contributions to open‑source projects or a strong GitHub portfolio.
