Job Role: PostgreSQL DBA
Experience: 34 Years
Location: Wagholi, Pune (5 Days WFO, Later Hybrid)
Contract: 6+ Months
Key Skills & Responsibilities:
- Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL versions 1117
- Installation, configuration, and tuning of standalone & masterslave setups
- High Availability & Disaster Recovery (Active/Standby) using repmgr
- Physical & Logical Replication, version upgrades, and patching
- Experience with PostGIS, database design, and database migration
- Performance tuning, query profiling, slow query optimization, indexing & partitioning
- Development and maintenance of Stored Procedures, Functions & Triggers
- Backup, Restore & PITR using pgBackRest / Barman
- Monitoring & health checks using PMM, AppDynamics, pgBadger, PoWA
- User, role & access management; basic Shell/Perl/Python scripting
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with MySQL
- Exposure to NoSQL databases (MongoDB)
