In this role, you will be a core member of our AI Centre of Excellence. You will be working across various domains to solve high-impact challenges in Document Processing, Knowledge Management, and Conversational Interface workstreams. Your goal is simple but high-stakes and impactful.
Essential Functions include, but are not limited to the following.
- End-to-End Engineering: Design and build scalable backend services in Python (FastAPI/Flask or other similar frameworks) and intuitive, high-performance frontends in React (or other JS frameworks).
- Agentic Frameworks: Designing multi-agent systems using frameworks like LangGraph, CrewAI, or AutoGen to handle complex, multi-step reasoning tasks beyond simple chat loops.
- Production-Grade RAG & Integrations: Building sophisticated Retrieval-Augmented Generation pipelines; experience with vector databases (Pinecone, Weaviate, PgVector), semantic chunking, and integrating diverse data sources into LLM workflows.
- Reliability & AI Evals: Implementing rigorous evaluation frameworks (using tools like Langsmith, Langfuse, Arize Phoenix, or custom scoring rubrics) to measure and improve LLM performance, hallucinations, and groundedness.
- AI-Augmented Development: Power-using AI-assisted coding tools (Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or custom LLM agents) to accelerate the development lifecycle and maintain a high velocity across SDLC
- Model Orchestration: Experience working with a variety of models (OpenAI, Anthropic, or Open Source via vLLM/Ollama) and understanding when to use a Large model vs. a Small specialized model for cost and speed optimization.
- Product Discovery: Participate in technical Discovery to identify the most efficient path to the desired project outcome.
- System Design: Apply Browser Fundamentals and UI/UX best practices to ensure that complex AI data is presented in a way that is human-centric and responsive.
- Pod Collaboration: Work within a high-velocity pod to meet milestones for our global PE stakeholders.
Security & Compliance:
- Follow secure coding practices aligned with OWASP and ISO 27001 guidelines
- Ensure data protection, encryption, and secure credential handling
- Adhere to Secure SDLC, code reviews, and vulnerability management
- Comply with organizational information security policies
- Report security incidents and ensure secure use of third-party components
Requirements
Key technical expertise areas expected for this role:
- Ideally 2-4 years experience working as a full-stack software engineer
- Must be comfortable working in a fast paced environment
- Must be comfortable being both technical and being able to work at a higher level
- Candidates will be expected to write clean code, create architecture documents etc.
- Should be able to write code in both Python and Javascript / Typescript
- Should have some understanding of how traditional ML and LLM technologies work
- Strong communication, enthusiasm about technology, and an ability to learn is critical
