Join us as a Software Engineer

  • We are seeking an experienced Data Warehouse Developer specialising in Oracle PLSQL and SAP Data Services to join our team
  • You'll be an integral part of our plans to strengthen the Data Platforms team, as you deliver solution designs, prototypes, implementation and run the bank support for our data platforms

  • We're offering this role at vice president level

What you'll do

  • This role will see you designing and developing data warehouse solutions using Oracle PLSQL and SAP Data Services
  • You'll create and maintain data models to support business requirements and improve data quality along with providing technical analysis support for change requests and incidents
  • We'll look to you to be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our data warehouse solutions to support our business partners
  • You'll also optimise data warehouse performance and ensure efficient data retrieval and processing

Additionally, you'll:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain ETL processes to ensure accurate and timely data integration
  • Integrate data from multiple sources and ensure data consistency and integrity
  • Implement data quality assurance processes to ensure data accuracy and reliability
  • Document data warehouse design, development, and maintenance processes for future reference
  • Work closely with business analysts, data analysts, and other stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
  • Provide support and maintenance for existing data warehouse solutions, including troubleshooting and resolving issues

The skills you'll need

  • We're on the lookout for someone with proficiency in Oracle PLSQL, SAP Data Services and database management
  • You'll have a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent
  • It's crucial that you're fluent in English, with strong communication skills and have an analytical mind-set

You'll also need:

  • Minimum of five years of experience as a Data Warehouse Developer, with a strong focus on Oracle PLSQL and SAP Data Services
  • Experience with ETL tools and processes, including data extraction, transformation and loading
  • Expertise in data modelling and database design such as Kimball
  • Familiarity with banking industry data and regulatory requirements
  • Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
