AzureDeveloperDivision team at Microsoft India Development Center (IDC) is part of broader Core AI group, we are currently staffing multiple teams of strong engineers to build & manage these products using AI and latest technologies. Some of our services and products include App Services, Container App, Functions & Logic Apps, Native ISV, Cloud native testing services and Azure DevOps. We collaborate closely with industry partners to ship best-in-class servicesoperatingata scale.

Responsibilities

As a Software Engineer in our team, you will play a key role in designing and delivering impactful product features that delight customers. You'll collaborate across teams and geographies to ensure end-to-end success.

  • Design and implement secure, scalable, and resilient cloud services.
  • Develop features and enhancements with reliability, performance, compliance, and accessibility practices.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver features spanning multiple components, managing dependencies and driving them to completion.
  • Ensure compliance with security and privacy standards across all systems.
  • Build automation for deployment, monitoring, issue detection, and diagnosis to reduce operational overhead and improve live site success.
  • Identify and resolve recurring issues or trends, drive resiliency improvements through observability, diagnostics, and recovery strategies.
  • Participate in live site operations, including alert tuning, production fixes, and preventive engineering to protect customer experience.
  • Engage in code reviews, share knowledge, and demonstrate best practices; continually learn and refine engineering processes to meet evolving enterprise needs.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field.
  • 2 to 3 years of industry experience in building and shipping software using modern programming languages including but not limited to C#, C++, Java, Javascript, Go or Python.
  • Strong skills in software design, coding, and problem-solving.
  • Demonstrated customer focus and passion for delivering high-quality products.
  • Self-motivated, able to work independently, and comfortable navigating ambiguity.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in Linux environments and/or contributing to Open-Source projects is a plus.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
  • AI Proficiency specifically around using AI tooling, prompts
  • Hands-on experience supporting live site services.
  • Knowledge of Docker and DevOps tools and practices.
  • Exposure to Azure Resource Providers, Azure Portal, and security/compliance for Azure services is a strong plus.

This position will be open for a minimum of 5 days, with applications accepted on an ongoing basis until the position is filled.
