Job Description

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, C, C++, Java, JavaScript).
  • 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role; overseeing projects, with 2 years of experience in a people management, supervision/team leadership role.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree or PhD in computer science or a related technical field.
  • 3 years of experience working in a changing organization.
  • Experience coding with Java, TypeScript, APIs, and databases.

Responsibilities

  • Own Search production intelligence charter (within Search Serving Infra) and manage a medium sized team with high visibility and impact. Define and evolve the charter of your team with a balanced portfolio of foundational investments, exploratory bets and run the business priorities.
  • Be willing to work in a high paced environment with multiple partner stakeholders and have the ability to adapt to a fast changing regulatory environment. Plan and deliver on a multi-quarter roadmap with incremental milestones.
  • Develop leaders and ensure career growth within the team. Mentor and coach team and ensure psychological safety is built into the team's culture.
  • Manage people while being deeply technically involved in the team's work.
