Software Engineer

This position is required to support the BY labor management and other initiatives within Supply chain Distribution team. The team is located both in India and US having about 10 plus engineers working on supporting Warehouse Labor management capabilities. Team has the skillset of both open source and Blue Yonder skillset. The team is fully energized and proactive in delivering any initiatives on this space and following the agile practices. There is clear scope and roadmap on building Labor capabilities for Lowe s Market delivery networks.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• 2+ years working with Containers for deployment and management.
• 2+ Java/J2EE, spring framework, spring boot microservices.
• 2+ year working with Source Code control technologies like GIT, Bitbucket is MUST.
• 2+ years of experience working on project(s) involving the implementation of solutions applying development life cycles (SDLC).
• 1+ year of experience with Google, Azure Cloud or any other cloud technology (Integration, Cloud Management).
• 2+ years experience in Restful API development using Design first approach.
• 2+ years experience with spring data JPA demonstrating flexible integration with datastores
• 2+ years of experience applying Agile development practices and CICD pipeline (Jenkins, Ansible).
• Experience with integration development using REST APIs and Messaging/Event Streaming technologies such as Kafka/MQ.
• Experience utilizing open source technologies such as Kafka, Docker, relational (Hadoop, Oracle, SQL) and NO SQL (MongoDB, Postgresql and ElasticSearch) databases, to build cloud-based products.
• 2+ years experience with flexible core development using spring boot and ORM with dependency injection without configuration.
• 2+ years working experience with logging and reporting frameworks and tools.
• 2+ years experience with Monitoring and Instrumentation products like Prometheus, Grafana, Kibana.
• Experience with modularizing logging using logback and log4j
• 1+ year Open Shift, Kubernetes and Managing Deployment of Solutions
• Very good knowledge and strong working experience on Spring boot and Maven Projects builds.
• Experience working on various file formats such as JSON, AVRO, XML & Flat File based structures
• Responding to all stakeholders with required application details as requested.
• Reporting & Metrics on response & resolution SLA of Incidents.
• Issue and Risk Log monitoring.
• 3+ years experience in coding and testing frameworks - junit, mockito, BDD, TDD, sonarqube.
• CIT/SIT and other testing support activities.
• 2+ years experience implementing spring security frameworks.
• 2+ years experience with RESTful APIs and gateway & orchestration services.
• Security and Performance enhancement.
• Monitor metrics such as utilization to identify possible performance issues/enhancements.
• Work with project manager as necessary regarding issues such as server down-time.

Required Qualifications:

• 2 years of experience in software development or a related field
• 2 years of experience working on project(s) involving the implementation of solutions applying development life cycles (SDLC) through iterative agile development
• 2 years experience working with any of the following: frontend technologies (user interface/user experience), middleware (microservices and application programming interfaces), database technologies, or DevOps
• Bachelors Degree in computer science, computer information systems, or related field (or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree)

Preferred Qualifications:

2 years of experience writing technical documentation in a software environment and developing and implementing business systems within an organization
