Software Engineer - Java

We are looking for a Software Engineer with experience in building high-performing, scalable, enterprise-grade applications.

He/ She will be responsible for Java/Java EE application development and providing expertise in the full software development lifecycle, from concept and design to testing

Responsibilities:

• Participate in software design meetings and write technical design documents.
• Development of the product/modules independently.
• Responsible for writing unit tests, integration tests, refactoring & documentation.
• Understand & maintain existing code-base by regular re-factoring and applying requested fixes and features.
• Experience working within a fast-paced Agile development process.
• Maintain application stability by monitoring key metrics and improving the code base accordingly.
• Should be flexible to learn new technology / require frameworks.
• Troubleshoot complex issues discovered in-house as well as in the customer environments.
• Conduct feasibility analysis, produce functional and design specifications of proposed new features.
• End-to-end ownership of designing solutions for feature requirements, planning, monitoring, execution, and release.

Requirements:

• 2 to 4 years of experience in Core Java and J2EE (Java, Spring, Hibernate/ My Batis), preferably on Java 11 and higher. 
• Should have excellent knowledge of the OOPS Concepts.
• Should have good knowledge of data structures.
• Should have experience in JUNIT.
• Good to have experience in REST web service development.
• Should have good knowledge of databases, preferably MySQL, and be familiar with NoSQL databases.
• Nice to have hands-on experience with scripting languages like Shell Script, Python, and PHP.
• Good knowledge of the Unix OS is preferred.
• Working experience with tools/technologies like Kubernetes, Jenkins, Maven, GIT, Docker, etc.
• Familiarity with UI technologies like HTML, JavaScript, and CSS.
• Good to know front-end technologies and frameworks like AngularJS.
• Familiarity with Test Driven Development, refactoring, code reviews, continuous integration/deliver, and Agile development practices.
• Nice to know / hands-on experience of Gen AI tools and tech, e.g., Chat GPT, Gemini, GitHub, Copilot, etc.

Qualifications:

• B.E./ B.Tech. in Computers or equivalent.
