Job Summary
The Senior Software Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable, secure, and high-performance enterprise applications, with a primary focus on .NET Core-based backend systems and AWS/Azure cloud technologies. This role plays a key part in architectural decision-making, API design, and cloud deployment strategies while ensuring adherence to modern software engineering standards and best practices.
The position contributes to the development and integration of ERP solutions, including Microsoft Business Central, and supports microservices-based architectures and cloud-native implementations. The Senior Software Engineer collaborates closely with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions, ensuring data integrity, regulatory compliance, and system reliability within a fintech environment.
In addition to hands-on development, this role drives code quality through peer reviews, enforces principles and design patterns, and supports CI/CD automation and DevOps practices. The Senior Software Engineer is also responsible for mentoring junior engineers, promoting AI-assisted development practices to enhance productivity, and continuously improving technical capabilities in alignment with evolving cloud and enterprise technologies.
Responsibilities
- AI-Assisted Development:
- Utilize modern AI tools (e.g., Cursor, GitHub Co-pilot) for writing efficient code, debugging, and enhancing productivity.
- Stay informed about emerging AI-driven technologies to boost development efficiency.
- Coding and Code Reviews:
- Architect and develop scalable solutions using .NET Core, APIs, and TypeScript/JavaScript.
- Enforce OOPS, SOLID principles, and design patterns in all implementations.
- Collaborate with team members to conduct in-depth code reviews, ensure adherence to best practices, and maintain code quality standards.
- Data Management and Collaboration:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to collect requirements, understand business objectives, and translate them into technical solutions.
- Ensure data integrity and security, adhering to regulatory and compliance requirements within the fintech industry.
- Documentation and Automation:
- Define and maintain architecture documentation, API contracts, and technical design artifacts.
- Drive CI/CD automation and cloud deployment best practices in Azure.
- Automate repetitive database tasks to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in software development, with strong expertise in .NET Core for building scalable, secure, and high-performance enterprise applications.
- Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOPS), with the ability to apply SOLID principles and industry-standard design patterns in real-world implementations.
- Proven experience in designing, developing, and consuming RESTful APIs, including API security, versioning, and integration with external systems.
- Experience in API automation using modern testing frameworks to ensure reliability, performance, and regression coverage.
- Working knowledge of TypeScript/JavaScript for developing and supporting frontend components, automation scripts or service integrations.
- Exposure to Microsoft Business Central, with the ability or willingness to learn and contribute to ERP integrations and customizations.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, build automation, and deployment processes to support continuous integration and delivery practices.
- Familiarity with microservices architecture, including service communication, scalability, and container-based deployments.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure services such as App Services, Azure Containers, Storage, and related cloud components.
- Proficiency in using Git for version control, including branching strategies and collaborative development workflows.
- Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to handle complex technical challenges.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with experience working in Agile/Scrum environments and mentoring junior team members.
Education/Certifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field
- Fluent in both spoken and written English
