About the Role

We're looking for a Software Development Engineer Intern to join our engineering team for a 6-month internship. You'll work on real, production-facing features across our stack — building and shipping code that impacts how millions of workers access job opportunities.

What You'll Do

• Build and ship features across the frontend (React) and backend (Node.js, PostgreSQL)
• Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code and participate in code reviews
• Collaborate closely with senior engineers, product managers, and designers on feature design and implementation
• Debug and resolve issues in existing systems
• Contribute to technical discussions and bring fresh perspective to engineering decisions

What We're Looking For

• Strong fundamentals in React (component architecture, state management, hooks) and Node.js (REST APIs, async patterns)
• Working knowledge of PostgreSQL — schema design, queries, basic optimization
• Must have completed at least one prior internship in a software engineering role
• Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and problem-solving
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment with high ownership
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science or a related field

Good to Have

• Familiarity with Git and collaborative development workflows
• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS/GCP) or CI/CD pipelines
• Prior experience building or contributing to a production application
