Job Description

We're not looking for an intern. We're looking for a builder.

At Learn2Read, we're teaching kids across India and the world how to read using phonics — a proven, science-backed method. Behind every class is a stack of tools we've built ourselves: our LMS, our automation systems, our CRM integrations, our internal dashboards. We move fast. We build things that work. And we're looking for one exceptional intern to build alongside us.

If you're the kind of person who gets bored in classrooms, who codes for fun on weekends, who's already using ChatGPT and Claude to ship 10x faster than your classmates — read on. Otherwise, this isn't for you.

What You'll Actually Do

You'll ship real features, real fast. Not fetch coffee. Not sit through week-long onboarding. From week one, you'll own small projects end-to-end: build them, break them, fix them, deploy them.

Concretely, you'll:

Build small features and internal tools for our LMS, CRM, and operations systems

Automate manual workflows across Google Sheets, WhatsApp, and TeleCRM using App Script and APIs

Ship Python scripts to clean data, generate reports, and power our marketing and sales dashboards

Use AI (Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, whatever works) as your default co-pilot — we expect you to move 5x faster than someone who codes without AI

Own your projects from spec to deployment — with real users depending on what you build

You'll get 2–3 meaningful projects across 6 months. Each one will teach you more than a semester of college.

Must-Have Skills

Working knowledge of Google Apps Script, Python, and JavaScript

Comfort with APIs — reading docs, calling endpoints, handling JSON

Fluent use of AI coding tools — Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, Copilot, or similar

Git basics — you can clone, commit, and push without Googling every step

Strong logical thinking — you can break a big problem into small solvable pieces

Nice-to-Have

Experience with Google Workspace APIs (Sheets, Drive, Gmail)

Basic React or HTML/CSS for lightweight UI work

Any personal side project you can show us (even a broken one)

The Non-Negotiables

What we're really looking for behind the résumé:

You want to build a career in EdTech. You care that kids in Tier 2/3 India learn to read. This isn't just a resume line for you.

You work independently. You'll be given a problem and a deadline, not a step-by-step manual. You Google, you ask AI, you figure it out.

You're ambitious. You want to grow fast, take on more than what's given, and outperform expectations by month two.

You thrive in fast-paced chaos. We ship, we iterate, we sometimes rewrite. If you need weeks of planning before touching code, you'll struggle here.

You're curious. You read tech blogs. You try new tools. You have opinions about frameworks even if they're wrong.

What You Get From Us

Real projects with real impact — your code will be used by real teachers, real parents, real kids

A paid stipend — competitive for Jaipur, discussed at the interview based on your skill level

Your final-year engineering project — build it with us. Real problem, real code, real submission. No fluff project.

A direct line to the founder — you'll work closely with Nitin (Co-Founder). Feedback is direct and fast.

Full-time offer on the table — nail your projects and you have a full-time role waiting on Day 181

A certificate and reference that actually mean something because you built things that matter

Who This Is NOT For

If you want a chill 9-to-5 with weekends off to figure out life

If your CV has more Coursera certificates than personal projects

If you need spoon-feeding, hand-holding, or hourly supervision

If you're planning to sit for placements halfway through

If you think leveraging AI means asking ChatGPT to write your college assignments

Please don't apply. You'll waste your time and ours.
