Floe Health is an AI-driven healthcare technology company focused on fixing referral breakdowns and coordinating patient journeys across health systems. We work with leaders across major provider networks and are building a high-velocity product team to support upcoming deployments.
We are hiring Software Engineering Interns who want real-world startup experience, meaningful ownership, and exposure to engineering inside a fast-moving AI company. This role is ideal for students who already understand the basics of software development and want to contribute to production-grade applications.
Responsibilities
As a Software Engineering Intern, you will:
- Build and maintain APIs, microservices, or frontend components depending on your track
- Work in a modern stack (React, Node/Python, PostgreSQL)
- Contribute to feature development across patient intake, provider dashboards, and AI workflow tools
- Write clean, maintainable code and follow Git workflows
- Participate in code reviews and collaborate with senior engineers
- Assist in troubleshooting, debugging, and improving system performance
- Take end-to-end ownership of small features or modules
Qualifications
Required:
- Pursuing a degree in Computer Science or related field (any year)
- Strong foundational understanding of programming concepts
- Experience with at least one of: JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Python, Node.js
- Ability to build basic APIs and work with Git
- Curiosity, initiative, and willingness to learn fast in an unstructured environment
Nice to have:
- Experience with databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, etc.)
- Understanding of APIs, authentication, or DevOps concepts
- Side projects or GitHub repositories demonstrating real work
- Familiarity with AI tooling or LLMs
