Description
As a Senior Software Engineer of the Data Mesh (within Data Fabric) team, the Senior Java Developer is responsible for designing and developing advanced Java solutions. This role involves leading the design and implementation of micro-service architectures with Spring Boot, optimizing services for performance and scalability, and ensuring code quality. The Senior Developer will also mentor junior developers and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver comprehensive technical solutions.
A Typical Day In The Life Includes
Lead the design, development, and deployment of scalable and secure applications.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Product Management, UX Design, and QA to deliver business-critical features.
- Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following industry best practices.
- Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and technical roadmap planning.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives around software performance, reliability, and scalability.
- Mentor and guide junior developers through knowledge sharing and code collaboration.
- Stay current on emerging technologies and evaluate their potential adoption.
- Champion Infor's values of speed, innovation, and collaboration.
Basic Qualifications
Experience in software development, ideally within SaaS or enterprise applications.
- 3-5 years of experience in Java 17/21, Spring-boot.
- Expertise in designing and implementing Microservices with Spring Boot.
- Experience of cloud-native development (AWS, Azure, or similar platforms).
- Experience with microservices architecture, RESTful APIs, and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Agentic Coding tool (cursor/claude/kiro/windsurf/etc)
- Strong knowledge of Linux, Git, and Docker.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools like Jira and Confluence.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience of enterprise security and performance tuning techniques.
- Familiarity with the C4 Software Architecture Model.
- Experience mentoring, coaching, and developing engineering talent.
- Experience using tools like Lucidchart for architecture and flow diagrams
