Description
An Android Developer is responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining mobile applications for devices running the Android operating system. They collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, user-friendly apps that meet business and customer needs. The role requires strong knowledge of Java/Kotlin, Android SDK, and modern development tools, along with problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
A Typical Day In The Life Includes
- Design, build and maintain enterprise android applications from scratch.
- Deploying applications in Google Play store and other third-party stores.
- Improve applications by continually discovering and implementing new features and technologies.
- Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs
- Collaboration with cross-functional teams to define, design and ship new features.
- Set technical directions for how issue will be address, including architecture, libraries, and tools.
- Participate in code reviews alongside team members and managers.
- Taking ownership of the projects to ensure their successful completion against deadlines.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitLab CI, Fastlane, or Firebase App Distribution
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field
- Strong knowledge on Android SDK and development of application for multiple form factors such as phone, tablet.
- Proficiency in both Kotlin and Java languages.
- Familiarity with Jetpack Compose
- Experienced in REST API integration with libraries like Retrofit.
- Proficient understanding of Version Control tools such as Git.
- Familiarity with cloud message APIs and push notifications.
- Ability to work on custom library development.
- Experience in Encryption, data storage and performance optimization.
- Working knowledge on Jetpack libraries and MVVM architecture.
Preferred Qualifications
- Domain knowledge in Business Intelligence or Data Analytics
- Prior experience working with Mobile Development Android, Ios
- Building test infrastructures using containerization technologies such as Docker and working within continuous delivery / continuous release pipeline processes.
