Position Summary:

The Senior QA Engineer is a technical quality owner responsible for ensuring the reliability, performance, and correctness of our consumer web application, SaaS management platform, backend services, and mobile applications. This role goes beyond executing tests — the Senior QA Engineer partners with Product Managers and Engineers early in the development lifecycle to prevent defects before development begins.

This position is responsible for:

• Reviewing requirements
• Designing test strategies
• Building and maintaining automated testing frameworks
• Improving QA processes
• The ideal candidate is a hybrid QA + SDET mindset — strong in testing and technically capable.

Responsibilities:

• Quality Ownership & Test Strategy
• Act as the QA owner for features from requirement review through production validation
• Participate in sprint planning, grooming, and design discussions
• Review Product Requirement Documents (PRDs) and identifyMissing edge cases,Ambiguous behavior, Unclear workflows, Inconsistent business logic
• Define test strategy (functional, integration, regression, and exploratory)
• Identify high-risk areas and prioritize testing accordingly

Test Design & Documentation

• Write clear, structured, and reusable test cases
• Design boundary, negative, and failure-scenario test coverage
• Create acceptance criteria when requirements are incomplete
• Develop traceability between requirements and test coverage

Automation & Framework Development

• Design and maintain automated test suites for:
• Web UI
• APIs
• Backend services
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps)
• Reduce regression cycle time through automation
• Review existing automation for reliability and maintainability

Expected mindset: automation is the default — manual is the fallback.

Technical Testing

• API testing (authentication, payload validation, error handling)
• Database validation using SQL Server
• Log analysis and defect root cause isolation
• Verify deployments in Azure environments

Mobile Testing

• Validate mobile features (iOS and Android)
• Understand app-to-API integration behavior
• Identify issues related to device types, OS versions, and network conditions

Defect Management

• Perform deep investigation of defects
• Reproduce and isolate issues
• Provide developers with actionable bug reports
• Verify fixes and regression impact

Required Skills

Technical

• 5+ years software testing experience
• Experience testing web applications and APIs
• Automation experience (UI and/or API)
• SQL querying and data validation
• REST API testing (Postman or similar)
• CI/CD integration (Azure DevOps preferred)
• Selenium / Playwright / Cypress
• Mobile testing (Appium or manual)

Nice to Have

• C# or JavaScript coding
• Performance testing tools
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure preferred)
