Software Engineer in Test

Key responsibilities:

• Design, execute and automate test cases for web, mobile, and API applications.
• Work closely with developers, product managers, and QA engineers to understand new features.
• Write clear, reusable test cases for functional, integration, and regression testing.
• Perform exploratory testing to identify edge cases and potential quality gaps.
• Report defects with detailed logs, steps to reproduce, and validations.
• Assist in root cause analysis and work with developers to resolve issues.
• Ensure automation is integrated into CI/CD pipelines and continuously monitor and improve test health and coverage by fixing flaky or failing tests.
• Leverage AI-powered QA tools and adopt industry best practices to enhance test coverage, efficiency, and reliability
• Actively coordinate across teams, contribute to sprint activities, and take full ownership of test quality and defect management

Required skills:

• 3+ years of full time work experience after completing an undergraduate degree
• Knowledge of one programming language in Javascript/TypeScript
• 3+ experience in automation with Playwright.
• Strong experience in testing mobile native apps
• Comfortable with AI-powered QA tools (e.g., leveraging AI for test case generation, result analysis, or regression impact detection)
• Aware of industry best practices and look for improvement wherever possible.
• Good understanding of relational databases and ability to write intermediate level SQL statements.
