Software Engineer in Test

Requirements for the candidate

We are looking for a highly skilled SDET with strong experience in test automation, framework development, and quality engineering practices. The ideal candidate should have hands-on expertise in both Selenium and Playwright to build scalable and reliable automation solutions.

Resource has to work in Pacific TimeZone.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust automation frameworks for web applications.
• Create automated test scripts for functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Develop and execute test cases using Selenium and Playwright.
• Collaborate closely with developers, product owners, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure quality deliverables.
• Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines.
• Analyze test results, identify defects, and work with development teams to resolve issues.
• Improve test coverage, execution efficiency, and overall product quality.
• Participate in code reviews and promote automation best practices.
• Perform API testing and validate backend services.
• Prepare test reports, metrics, and documentation.

Required Skills

• 4–8 years of experience in software testing and test automation.
• Strong hands-on experience with Selenium and Playwright.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, or Python.
• Experience with test frameworks such as TestNG, JUnit, PyTest, or similar.
• Strong understanding of test automation framework design patterns.
• Experience with API testing tools such as Postman or Rest Assured.
• Knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
• Experience with version control systems like Git.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Good understanding of SQL and database validation.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter.
• Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience with BDD frameworks such as Cucumber.
• Understanding of security and accessibility testing.
