Role Overview:

As a Software Engineer III – Web Developer, you will design, develop, and maintain web applications and services for Sam's Club. You'll work closely with product managers, UX designers, and fellow engineers to deliver innovative features, optimize performance, and ensure code quality. This role requires strong technical expertise, hands-on coding skills, and a collaborative mindset.

Responsibilities:

Architect, develop, and deploy web applications using modern frameworks (ReactJS, Node.js, etc.)

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions

Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code

Conduct code reviews and mentor junior engineers

Ensure high test coverage and participate in test-driven development

Optimize applications for speed, scalability, and reliability

Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production issues

Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning

Stay updated on emerging web technologies and best practices

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field with 3-6 years of experience in web development

Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, ReactJS, Node.js, HTML5, CSS3

Experience with RESTful APIs, microservices, and cloud platforms (Azure preferred)

Strong understanding of software engineering principles, design patterns, and SDLC

Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, version control (Git), and automated testing

Excellent problem-solving and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with Walmart's open-source tech stack and internal tools

Exposure to supply chain, retail, or e-commerce domains

Contributions to open-source projects

Knowledge of accessibility and performance optimization
