As a Software Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the Consumer and community banking technology team, you will be a key member responsible for design and development of scalable design systems, drive legacy application modernization usingJPMorgan Chase design standards and deliver exceptional user experiences. You will leverageAI-powered design toolsto accelerate design-to-code workflows and collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Business stakeholders to transform complex requirements into intuitive, accessible digital solutions.

Job Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, andmodernization of legacy applicationsfollowingJPMorgan Chase design systemsand firm-wide UX standards
• Architect front-end solutions usingReact,TypeScript, andMicro Frontend (MFE)patterns (Module Federation, Single-SPA)
• LeverageAI-powered design toolsandFigma pluginsto streamlinedesign-to-codeworkflows and accelerate development
• UtilizeAI-assisted coding tools(GitHub Copilot) to enhance productivity and code quality
• Partner withProduct Managementto analyze legacy workflows and create innovativeuser journey maps
• Create prototypes, wireframes, and high-fidelity mockups usingFigmaand AI-enhanced design features
• Mentor junior engineers on UI/UX best practices, front-end architecture, and AI tooling adoption

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills:

• Formal training in software engineering concepts and 3+ years of applied experience.
• Strong experiencebuilding enterpriseDesign Systemsat scale
• Hands-on experience withReact, JavaScript/TypeScript, and modern front-end tooling (Webpack, Vite)
• Experience in developing responsive layouts usingCSS3, SCSS, Flexbox, and Grid
• Experience withFigmaand design/prototyping tools
• Leadslegacy application modernizationinitiatives
• ArchitectingMicro Frontend (MFE)solutions
• Experience withAI-powered design and development tools(Figma AI, design-to-code plugins, AI code assistants)
• Strong expertise inaccessibility standards(WCAG, ARIA, semantic HTML)

• Experience implementingenterprise design systemsand component libraries
