As a Software Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the Consumer & Community Banking line of business, you serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way.

Job responsibilities

  • Develop and enhance Salesforce solutions across Sales Cloud and Service Cloud using Apex, SOQL/SOSL, LWC, and platform configuration.
  • Design and implement integrations with internal/external systems using REST/SOAP APIs, OAuth/Named Credentials, Platform Events/CDC, and event-driven patterns.
  • Build resilient integration behavior including error handling, retries, idempotency, and monitoring hooks.
  • Deliver scalable implementations mindful of governor limits, bulkification, and async patterns (Batch, Queueable, Schedulable, Future).
  • Implement automation using Flow, validation rules, approvals, and declarative features, making appropriate Flow vs. Apex decisions for maintainability.
  • Design and maintain the Salesforce data model and security/sharing (Profiles, Permission Sets, role hierarchy, sharing rules, record types).
  • Execute releases and DevOps practices using SFDX, Git, CI/CD pipelines, and disciplined environment management.
  • Leverages enterprise-authorized AI coding assist tools within the work environment to improve code quality, delivery speed, and productivity across complex deliverables (e.g., code generation/refactoring, unit test creation, documentation), while validating outputs through peer review, automated testing, and secure coding standards contributes learnings and reusable patterns to improve broader team effectiveness.
  • Applies knowledge of tools within the Software Development Life Cycle toolchain, including enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development and automation capabilities, to improve the value realized by automation.
  • Troubleshoot production issues, perform root-cause analysis, implement preventive improvements, and contribute through code reviews, standards enforcement, and mentoring.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Senior, hands-on Salesforce developer experience (typically 5+ years overall engineering with 3+ years on Salesforce, or equivalent depth).
  • Deep Apex expertise (classes/triggers), strong SOQL, and unit testing best practices.
  • Strong LWC experience with Aura awareness.
  • Deep understanding of Salesforce security model (sharing, role hierarchy, permission sets, record types).
  • Strong capability with Flows and platform automation patterns.
  • Mandatory integration experience designing/consuming REST and SOAP services.
  • Experience with event-driven integration patterns using Platform Events (publish/subscribe, replay, ordering) plus secure auth (OAuth, Named Credentials) and resiliency (timeouts, retries, partial failures, logging, reconciliation).
  • Proven ability to build bulk-safe, performant solutions (query optimization, async/limit management) and work in CI/CD release practices using SFDX + Git (branching, PR reviews, deployment validation).
  • Hands-on experience using enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools within the work environment (e.g., for coding, test creation, troubleshooting, or documentation) with demonstrated ability to critically evaluate, validate, and refine AI-generated outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
  • Understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity considerations, secure handling of inputs/outputs, and adherence to resiliency and security expectations ability to guide peers on safe and effective usage within team practices.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Hands-on Service Cloud experience (Case Management, Omni-Channel, Entitlements, Knowledge as applicable).
  • Experience with Sales Cloud objects/processes (Leads, Opportunities, forecasting concepts where relevant).
  • Familiarity with event streaming/middleware ecosystems (e.g., MuleSoft) and relevant Salesforce certifications (PD I/II, JavaScript Dev I, Service Cloud Consultantâ€nice to have).
