Software Engineer III

As a Software Engineer III at JPMorganChase within the CBC-Global Customer Platform, you serve as a seasoned member of agile team for multiple product areas, needs to partner with different application teams throughout to support their application infrastructure configuration updates and deployments. You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm's business objectives.

Job responsibilities

• Executes software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems
• Creates secure and high-quality production code and maintains algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systems
• Develop and enhance CI/CD pipelines to automate build, test, scan and deployment workflows
• Work with Change and Release Management teams to improve Change quality and release stability.
• Support Production change deployments using CI-CD pipeline, Improve stability of the release process and troubleshoot infrastructure and configuration issues across all environments.
• Responsible for overall readiness of all Applications, address scheduling/deployment conflicts

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 6+ years applied experience
• Hands-on practical experience in Devops-CI CD, Jenkins, Git, Github and operational stability
• Proficient in coding in one or more languages-Java, Groovy, Ansible, Python

• Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages

• Solid understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security
• Demonstrated knowledge of software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)

• Proficient with Java-Spring based microservices(Java, Spring, Micro services, Kafka etc.) application infrastructure and its deployment model

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Experience in Cloud & DevOps - CI & CD Tools: Jenkins, Groovy, Ansible, Git, Github, Gitlab CI, Pivotal Cloud Foundry(PCF), Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with AI/ML tools usage like Copilot, LLM
• Overall knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle
• Experience supporting mission-critical platforms/applications desirably in financial services industry
