As a Software Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the Asset & Wealth Management, you serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm's business objectives.
Job responsibilities
- Develops or enhance products/applications in line with business requirements.
- Collaborates with internal users in Operations, Client Service, and Front Office
- Analyzes independently, code, test, and deploy applications/components to satisfy business requirements for large, complex projects.
- Adheres to firm-wide architecture standards, risk management and security policies.
- Provides production support coverage
- Participates in the broader LOB/Firm-wide initiatives.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Formal training or certification onsoftware engineeringconcepts and 3+ years applied experience
- Experience in software development using Java and its associated technology stack. Strong expertise in Java (Spring Boot), microservices architecture, and building RESTful APIs.
- Experienced with messaging platforms such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, and JMS. Proficient in front-end frameworks and technologies, including ReactJS, Angular, ExtJS, and NodeJS.
- Hands-on exposure to public cloud environments like AWS, Azure, or GCP. Solid background in relational databases, with the ability to write and optimize complex SQL queries.
- Familiar with test-driven development (TDD) methodologies, including tools like JUnit and Mockito. Skilled in using continuous integration tools such as Maven and Jenkins.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize assignments, and meet tight deadlines.
- Experience collaborating with globally distributed teams.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Broad understanding of DevOps methodologies, including automation, deployment pipelines, and infrastructure as code, beyond basic CI/CD tool usage.
- Familiarity with Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles, such as system monitoring and log tracing.
