Software Engineer III, Big Data, Google Cloud

Responsibilities

• Enhance Apache Spark for performance, reliability, security and monitoring.
• Enhance Lake House technologies like Iceberg, Hudi or Delta for performance, security and monitoring.
• Build the necessary dashboards for overall engineering and business monitoring.
• Extend open source technologies like Apache Spark, Ray, Hive etc. to improve their debuggability, observability and supportability.
• Design and develop tools to improve the overall troubleshooting experience not just for our customers but also for Support and Ops teams.

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree.
• 2 years of experience with data structures or algorithms.

Preferred qualifications:

• Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical fields.
• Experience developing accessible technologies.
