As a Software Engineer III - AS400 Developer at JPMorgan Chase within the Commercial & Investment Bank, you'll serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm's business objectives.
Job responsibilities
Maps functional requirements to components to enable common solution design across the platform.
Engages Product Owner to ensure that requirements are sufficiently communicated to enable technical design, estimation and build.
Provides end-user support by supplying product, process and technical solutions to resolve and/or enhance user application functions.
Plans and executes software integration and regression testing on application patches, upgrades and enhancements.
Hands-on coding using AS400, RPGLE, SQLRPGLE, RPG, SQLRPG, CLP, CLLE, Query/400, DB2/400 and ALDON.
Abide software development lifecycle methodologies.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Advanced knowledge of application, data and infrastructure architecture disciplines.
Understanding of architecture and design across all systems.
Working proficiency in developmental toolsets.
Knowledge of industry-wide technology trends and best practices.
Ability to work in large, collaborative teams to achieve organizational goals and Passionate about building an innovative culture
Proficiency in one or more modern OOP programing languages.
Understand of software skills such as business analysis, development, maintenance and software improvement.
Experience in iSeries AS400, RPGLE, SQLRPGLE, RPG, SQLRPG, CLP, CLLE, Query/400, DB2/400 and ALDON are required.
Product knowledge in Fixed income (Bonds, Repos, and Money Market) and in domains covering Accounting, Cash management, and Settlements (i.e. SWIFT, RTGS, etc.)
Hands on experience in functional design of complex enterprise systems.
