As a Software Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the AI/ML Data Platform team, you serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm's business objectives.
Job Responsibilities
- Architect, Build and maintain comprehensive observability systems at scale
- Partner with Customers, Product managers, and Engineering teams to develop systems and align observability objectives across the organization.
- Provide architectural guidance and establish standards for observability implementations with a strong focus on cost optimization and compliance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive business impact and customer satisfaction through exceptional software delivery.
- Evaluate and implement modern data storage solutions (data warehouses, data lakes) to support advanced analytics and dashboards.
- Implement best practices for data transformation, real-time processing and modern data storage solutions to support advanced analytics
- Evaluate and introduce new observability tools and technologies, staying current with industry best practices
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience
- Hands-on practical experience in backend development using Python, Java, Node.js, or Golang.
- Expertise with Cloud native observability tools, OpenTelemetry, Grafana/Prometheus/CloudWatch/Datadog etc and associated agents, collectors.
- Experience in designing and architecting large-scale distributed systems and cloud-native architecture in AWS.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to represent and present business and technical concepts to stakeholders.
- Experience with a product-oriented mindset who can see the big picture and engineer solutions centered around customer needs.
- Demonstrate a strong sense of responsibility, urgency, and determination.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills
- Familiarity with modern front-end technologies
- Familiar with Platform Software Engineer in a dynamic technology company or startup.
- Exposure to cloud technologies
- Exposure working in AI, ML, or Data engineering.
- Exposure in developing Automation frameworks/AI Ops
