Position Summary
Join Deloitte Support Services India Private Limited as part of the Central Business Services team supporting Middle East stakeholders through reporting, analytics, and data integration solutions. This role focuses on building and enhancing Power BI dashboards, reports, and data models that support business decision-making. You will also help manage integrations across systems, improve reporting performance, and maintain reliable, high-quality data solutions.
Work you'll do
As a Software Engineer II on the Central Business Services team, you will be responsible for:
- Designing, developing, and maintaining Power BI reports, dashboards, and datasets for business stakeholders.
- Building transformation logic and integrating data from databases, application programming interfaces (APIs), and flat files into a consistent reporting layer.
- Developing and optimizing data models, data analysis expressions (DAX) measures, and refresh processes to support analytics and reporting performance.
- Implementing row-level security, monitoring data quality, and troubleshooting reporting and integration issues across Power BI solutions.
- Managing dashboard enhancements and monthly data updates while translating stakeholder requirements into reporting and visualization solutions.
The team
The Central Business Services team supports stakeholders across the Middle East by delivering reporting, analytics, and data solutions that improve business decision-making. The team works across multiple systems and functions to integrate data, maintain reporting standards, and enhance dashboard capabilities. Professionals in this team collaborate with business users, data owners, and technical teams to deliver scalable Power BI solutions aligned to business priorities.
Location: Hyderabad
Shift Timings: 11 AM to 8 PM
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or another technical field.
- Experience building and maintaining Power BI dashboards, reports, and datasets using data analysis expressions (DAX) and Power Query.
- Experience developing structured query language (SQL) queries, stored procedures, and extract, transform, load (ETL) processes.
- Experience integrating data from databases, application programming interfaces (APIs), and flat files.
- Experience designing data models using star schema and snowflake schema.
- Experience with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) report design, deployment, and subscription management.
- Experience integrating Power BI with Microsoft Azure, Dynamics 365, Power BI Gateway, Premium, Embedded, or mobile capabilities.
Preferred:
- Microsoft Power BI certification, including PL-300.
- Experience implementing row-level security (RLS) in Power BI.
- Experience tuning Power BI Service performance and refresh schedules.
- Experience working with large datasets.
- Experience working in Agile delivery environments.
- Experience translating business requirements into dashboard and reporting solutions.
