As a Software Engineer II at JPMorgan Chase within the Chief Technology Office team, you will design, develop, and deliver innovative software solutions. Job responsibilities
- Execute software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting for full stack applications using .NET and ReactJS
- Write secure and high-quality code using .NET and ReactJS
- Design, develop, code, and troubleshoot with consideration of integration between back-end (.NET) and front-end (ReactJS) components
- Apply knowledge of tools within the Software Development Life Cycle toolchain to improve automation value
- Troubleshoot and solve technical problems of basic complexity across both front-end and back-end
- Gather, analyze, and draw conclusions from large, diverse data sets to support secure, stable application development
- Learn and apply system processes, methodologies, and skills for the development of secure, stable code and systems
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 2+ years applied experience
- Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability for full stack solutions
- Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with .NET (C#) and ReactJS
- Demonstrable ability to code in C#, ReactJS, and SQL
- Experience across the whole Software Development Life Cycle, including requirements gathering, design, implementation, testing, deployment, and maintenance
- Exposure to agile methodologies such as CI/CD, application resiliency, and security
Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills
- Familiarity with modern front-end technologies, including ReactJS, Redux, and component-based architecture
- Exposure to cloud technologies such as Azure or AWS and cloud-native application development
- Experience with RESTful APIs and microservices
- Understanding of secure coding practices and application security principles
