As Software Engineer I, you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and implementation of Cepheid next generation software products.

This position is part of the R&D Department and will be located in Bangalore, IDC, India. This position reports to the Engineering Manager, R&D and will be an onsite role.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

• Design, implement and maintain molecular diagnostics application software using Java, Angular and associated development frameworks
• Develop automated unit, component and systemlevel test suites using industrystandard test automation tools
• Execute endtoend software quality activities including test coverage expansion, defect identification and verification workflows
• Integrate software components with firmware, hardware and diagnostic instrumentation systems in collaboration with crossfunctional engineering teams
• Support continuous build, integration and release processes for molecular diagnostics software within regulated development environments

The essential requirements of the job include:

• Engineering degree in Computer Science or equivalent with 1+ years of full stack development experience
• Minimum of 1+ years of handson development using Java and Angular for frontend and backend applications
• Experience developing software for AWS cloud environments
• Experience in lowlevel software design engineering and ObjectOriented Design
• Proficiency in implementing ObjectOriented Design principles and design patterns within Java and Angular applications

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

• As an AWS certified developer
• A background in leveraging AI to improve operational performance.
• Experience working with distributed teams in a global setting.
