Software Engineer II
We are seeking a highly skilled
Software Engineer II to join the
Universal Asset Insights team at Infoblox. This role is
primarily focused on Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of our distributed systems. In addition, you will contribute to development activities, leveraging modern technologies and
Agentic AI-driven automation to enhance operational efficiency.
You will work on cloud-native infrastructure, observability, and automation while collaborating with development teams to improve system design and resilience.
We have an opportunity for aSoftware Engineer II to join our Universal Asset Insights team in Bengaluru, India. In this role, you will work on Infoblox Universal Asset Insights, which automates the discovery and analysis of both IP-based and non-IP-based assets across public clouds, on-premises networks, IoT/OT devices, and third-party applications. Integrated with Infoblox's critical network services, including DNS, DHCP, and IPAM, it enhances network visibility and IPAM accuracy. You will work closely with Product management & engineering leadership to execute product roadmap & also engineering goals of building scalable, reliable & maintainable software.
Be a Contributor What You'll Do
- Ensure service reliability, availability, and performance across distributed systems.
- Drive SRE best practices: SLIs, SLOs, error budgets, and resilience engineering.
- Design and implement monitoring, alerting, and observability solutions using Grafana, Prometheus, Cortex, Kibana, Loki logs.
- Automate incident response, capacity planning, and operational workflows using Agentic AI frameworks.
- Participate in on-call rotations, troubleshoot production issues, and lead root cause analysis.
- Contribute to microservices development in Go and maintain backend components.
- Support data pipeline development using Kafka, Redis, PostgreSQL, ClickHouse, and CubeJS.
- Assist in building frontend dashboards with AngularJS and TypeScript.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to improve system design for reliability.
Be Prepared What You Bring
- 5 years of experience, with strong focus on SRE and operational excellence.
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, AWS, and cloud-native deployments.
- Expertise in observability tools: Grafana, Prometheus, Cortex, Kibana, Loki.
- Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, automation, and infrastructure-as-code.
- Proficiency in Go and familiarity with microservices architecture.
- Exposure to Agentic AI frameworks for automation and intelligent operations.
- Proficient with cloud APIs from AWS, Azure, GCP, OCI, IBM Cloud, and similar platforms
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

- Get a very good understanding of Infoblox Asset Insights Product offering
- Design and develop some features
- Contribute to code and design Reviews
- Identify productivity and extensibility enhancements for integrations/adapters

- Develop major features toward extensibility to rapidly onboard integrations
- Make significant contributions toward architecture and design improvements
- Make significant improvements toward productivity, quality, and reliability
- Collaborate closely with Product Management and identify areas for R&D
