Software Engineer-II (Frontend)

Position Description: We are looking for a SDE-II Frontend with excellent design, hands on development & technical skills along with good interpersonal skills, capable of working in highly critical transformation projects. As a senior front-end engineer at Attentive, you will help us design, develop and maintain beautiful interfaces and complex client-side applications of our SaaS product

Roles & Responsibilities

• Write effective, scalable, and reusable code
• Develop and maintain user-facing elements integrated securely with the internal backend
• Participate and contribute to system design and architecture discussions
• Take full ownership of assigned modules and ensure product delivery as per agreed timelines
• Mentor junior team members and perform code reviews
• Conduct frequent brainstorming sessions, and motivate the team, and drive innovations
• Test and debug programs
• Improve functionality of existing systems
• Implement security and data protection solutions
• Assess and prioritize feature requests
• Coordinate with internal teams to understand user requirements and provide technical solutions.
  
  

Required Skills & Experience

• In-depth knowledge of how the internet, websites, and browsers work (working knowledge of server technologies, HTTP protocol, CDN, and caching concepts)
• 3+ years of software development experience with deep expertise in frontend technologies
• Core UI Development experience with expertise in HTML, CSS, JavaScript
• Experience with Next.js, React.js, TypeScript and relevant libraries such as React Query, Zustand etc.
• Strong UX sense to provide efficient solutions in the product design process
• Product & Design Knowledge - Experience with Product Development and developing functional components
• Understanding of SEO principles
• Understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and workable solutions
• Experience with designing responsive interfaces for different screen sizes (mobile, tablet, laptop)
• Team spirit and good problem-solving skills
• Understanding of cloud services like AWS and GCP
• Experience working with testing frameworks/libraries such as Jest, Vitest, React Testing Library
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience working in both start-up and enterprise environments
• Working knowledge of browser automation technologies like Selenium web driver

• Understanding of Geographic Information Systems and related terminologies is preferred
• Understanding of front-end mapping libraries like OpenLayers, Leaflet etc.
• Understanding of webpack config, web page speed and size optimization
• Understanding of Docker build system and deployment configurations.
