As a Software Engineer II this role is to design, develop, and maintain software solutions that meet business requirements. This position ensures high-quality code delivery through collaboration, testing, and adherence to development standards. It involves analyzing user needs, troubleshooting issues, and contributing to team projects to enhance system functionality and performance.
As a Software Engineer II, you will be responsible for:
- Working on the virtualization stack (QEMU, QAPI, QMP) and VM optimization.
- Researching, proposing, and integrating relevant open-source projects based on product objectives
- Developing efficient code for the software running on the hosts in our data centers
Do What You Love
To be successful in this role you will:
- 2+ years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or its equivalent
- Have a passion for Linux OS, Networking
- Adapt quickly and excel in areas such as high-availability systems and efficient programming methodologies.
- Be proficient in writing organized, efficient, and well documented code in any of the following languages Perl, Python, Go, C, C++.
- Have Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Demonstrate expertise in resolving issues with QEMU, scheduling, live migrations, memory organization, API, debugging, and asynchronous I/O effectively.
