Software Engineer II

Summary:

Company is looking for a Software Engineer (Quality Engineering) to test its microservices-based platform. The ideal candidate is passionate about driving high-quality product delivery by writing robust testing suites for a highly scalable, highly available enterprise-grade payment application.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, automate, and maintain Integration and End-to-End (E2E) test cases to ensure application quality and reliability.
• Prepare Test Strategies, Test Plans, and Test Estimates for assigned projects, features, and releases.
• Accurately track, communicate, and report the status of assigned tasks, stories, defects, and testing activities while maintaining overall application quality and hygiene.
• Conduct peer reviews of automated test scripts to ensure adherence to coding standards, best practices, maintainability, and reusability.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Product Owners, Developers, TPMs, and DevOps teams, to ensure successful delivery of features and releases.
• Ensure compliance with organizational processes, policies, security standards, and intellectual property protection requirements.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and actively contribute to organizational quality initiatives, best practices, and knowledge-sharing activities.
• Support continuous improvement of test automation frameworks, testing processes, and quality engineering standards.

Requirements:

• Engineering graduate with 4 years of experience.

Required Skills:

• Hands-on experience in writing comprehensive test scenarios, test cases, and executing testing activities for enterprise applications.
• Strong experience in test automation using Java-based automation frameworks, Playwright, Cucumber, Karate, or equivalent technologies.
• Hands-on experience with Core Java, Spring, Spring Boot, Rest Assured, SOAP services, JSON, and XML.
• Experience using API testing tools such as Insomnia, SOAP UI, or similar tools.
• Strong SQL and database testing experience with Oracle or other relational database management systems.
• Experience testing microservices-based architectures and distributed applications.
• Exposure to AI tools and platforms such as GitHub Copilot, AI Agents, and Generative AI solutions for software engineering and testing activities.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery environments with a strong understanding of SDLC and STLC processes.
• Good understanding of CI/CD pipelines and quality engineering practices.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate technical concepts and testing strategies.

Preferred Skills:

• Knowledge of application security concepts including authentication, authorization, confidentiality, integrity, encryption, and secure communication protocols.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and contribute effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Passion for continuous learning, innovation, automation, and adoption of AI-enabled engineering practices.
• Payment domain knowledge.
