Software Engineer

Key Responsibilities

Backend Engineering (85%)

• System Design & API Architecture: Architect, build, and optimize high-throughput RESTful & gRPC APIs, event-driven pipelines, and backend microservices using Node.js (TypeScript / Express / NestJS).
• AI Model Integration: Partner with Deep Learning / Computer Vision teams to productize AI models, optimizing API endpoints for millisecond-level latency and high availability.
• Database & Caching Design: Design and maintain scalable schemas in relational (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB, DynamoDB) databases. Leverage Redis or Memcached for caching and rate limiting.
• Scalability & Performance: Perform bottleneck identification, load testing, and queries/indexing optimizations to handle traffic spikes smoothly.
• Infrastructure & Observability: Own deployments on cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP), utilizing serverless (AWS Lambda), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and CI/CD pipelines. Maintain logs, metrics, and tracing using tools like ELK, Grafana, or Datadog.

Frontend & Integration (15%)

• UI & Admin Dashboards: Build responsive web modules, customer onboardings, and internal monitoring dashboards using React.js, state management (Redux/Zustand), and modern CSS frameworks.
• SDK / Widget Integrations: Assist in creating embeddable web integration scripts or light React SDKs for client onboarding flows.
• End-to-End Delivery: Ensure complete feature integration between React UI layers and Node.js microservices.

Key Qualifications & Requirements

• Experience: 2–4 years of hands-on software development experience with a track record of shipping scalable backend applications into production.
• Backend Mastery (Core):
• Expertise in Node.js (JavaScript/TypeScript) and core runtime concepts like event loops, streams, and async processing.
• Deep understanding of REST APIs, microservices architecture, and API security (OAuth2, JWT, Rate Limiting).
• Hands-on proficiency with PostgreSQL/MySQL and MongoDB/DynamoDB.
• Frontend Basics:
• Practical knowledge of React.js, modern Hooks, component lifecycles, and state management.
• Familiarity with HTML5, CSS3, REST integration, and WebSockets.
• DevOps & Cloud:
• Proficiency with AWS (S3, Lambda, SQS/SNS, ECS/EKS) and Linux/Docker environments.
• Engineering Mindset:
• Strong foundation in Data Structures, System Design, Algorithms, and SOLID principles.
• Focus on code quality, writing automated tests (Unit/Integration via Jest/Mocha), and conducting thorough code reviews.
