Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages.
  • 3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products.
  • 1 year of experience with software design and architecture.
  • Experience in software system architecture.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science, or a related technical field.
  • 5 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
  • 1 year of experience in a technical leadership role.
  • Experience developing accessible technologies.

Join the Google Distributed Cloud (GDC) Connected Identity Verification Service (IDVS) team to build the software powering our next-generation self-supporting edge cloud. In this role, you will own the design and implementation of critical components within our rack designer validation suite. You will help design the rack design and elevations for different hardware platforms and use AI-integrated systems to ensure our production environments are resilient, self-healing, and high-performing.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to and own the design and implementation of rack desinger, UI configuration, focusing on rack elevations, Bill of Materialss (BOMs), cables and devices.
  • Drive our AIOps evolution by building data pipelines that ingest system telemetry to enable automated, data-driven decision-making.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation, apply advanced debugging and systems knowledge to triage, root-cause, and programmatically resolve production issues.
  • Partner with various Engineering teams to define, scope, and execute high-impact projects that improve global infrastructure reliability.
  • Demonstrate a proactive approach to problem-solve, foster a collaborative team environment while mentoring peers through design and code reviews.
