Job Description
Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Software Engineer with approximately 6 years of hands-on experience in Java-based software development. The ideal candidate will be strong in designing, developing, and deploying scalable backend applications. Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain high-quality backend services and applications using Java.
- Implement robust, maintainable, and scalable code following clean coding standards and design patterns.
- Collaborate with product owners, architects, DevOps, and QA engineers to deliver high-value features.
- Participate in requirement analysis, story grooming, and sprint planning sessions.
- Create and maintain RESTful APIs, microservices, or server-side components.
- Write high-quality unit tests using JUnit/TestNG to ensure good coverage.
- Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to engineering best practices.
- Troubleshoot production issues as needed.
- Work efficiently in an Agile development environment.
Required Qualifications
- 6+ years of hands-on experience in Java software development.
- Strong understanding of Core Java, OOP concepts, collections, streams, and exception handling.
- Experience with Spring/Spring Boot frameworks.
- Experience in building and consuming REST APIs.
- Strong knowledge of SQL or NoSQL databases.
- Experience using Git for version control.
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GitHub Actions.
- Experience working within Agile/Scrum teams.
