Role Description

We are seeking a Software Engineer to help design, build, and scale the backend systems that power GuardianScale's CI/CD platform. In this role, you will take ownership of core services, contribute to architectural decisions, and implement reliable, high-performance solutions that support complex build and deployment workflows.

You will work closely with product and engineering teams to improve system reliability, optimize performance, and evolve our CI/CD automation capabilities. This role involves hands-on development, mentoring junior engineers where appropriate, and contributing to best practices in code quality, testing, and system design.

This is a fully remote role.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs
• Own and improve core CI/CD workflows, build orchestration, and deployment logic
• Contribute to system architecture and technical decision-making
• Optimize performance, reliability, and observability of backend systems
• Debug and resolve complex production issues across distributed systems
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code following best practices
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams in a remote environment
• Review code and contribute to engineering standards and documentation

Qualifications

• 24 years of professional experience in software engineering
• Strong foundation in Computer Science fundamentals (data structures, algorithms, systems design)
• Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming and software design principles
• Experience building and consuming APIs at scale
• Solid problem-solving, debugging, and performance optimization skills
• Hands-on experience with Git, GitHub, and CI/CD pipelines
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively in a distributed team
• Experience with cloud-native systems, build systems, or DevOps tooling is a strong plus
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
