Role Overview

To enable our business to expand our lead in a market increasingly enhanced by technology, Chubb is undertaking a substantial technology transformation. We are seeking a talented IT professional to join the Personal Risk Services (PRS) team in an engineering position. As a Software Engineer, you will contribute to the development of robust and scalable web applications, leveraging your expertise in both front-end and back-end technologies. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify and implement innovative solutions that enhance the overall user experience for our business and agency partners.

Responsibilities:

• Support and maintain modern front-end applications built on the latest versions of Angular, with demonstrated expertise in TypeScript/NodeJS.
• Support and maintain Spring Boot (Java) based microservices and API assets.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient and effective application development.
• Troubleshoot and debug web applications to ensure optimal performance and functionality.
• Perform complex troubleshooting of critical problem tickets, resolve defects in existing production software, and provide root-cause analysis.
• Deliver code to CI/CD enabled repositories following software implementation best practices.

Skills & Experience:

• 10 years of experience as a hands-on full stack software engineer.
• Experience in development of REST-based APIs using OpenAPI specification and/or Swagger.
• Hands-on experience working with code quality and code coverage tools/frameworks.
• Understanding of how to secure web apps and APIs using OpenID/OAuth2.0 standards.
• Experience delivering code to CI/CD enabled repositories.
• Excellent written/verbal communication skills with a demonstrated ability to meet commitments under pressure.

Nice to Have:

• Experience in caching technologies and search.
• Azure cloud solutions experience (Cosmos DB with MongoDB).
• Experience deploying solutions to Kubernetes.
• Hands-on experience with NodeJS.
