The Role

We're looking for a talented Frontend Software Engineer to join our growing engineering team in Chennai. You'll be responsible for building user-facing features and scalable frontend applications using Next.js. You'll work closely with backend engineers (Python/FastAPI) and collaborate with product, design, and QA teams to deliver high-quality, performant, and responsive web applications.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain modern, scalable, and responsive web applications using Next.js
• Build reusable components and front-end libraries for future use
• Integrate frontend applications with backend APIs (REST/GraphQL)
• Ensure cross-browser, cross-platform compatibility and responsiveness
• Collaborate with backend engineers, product managers, and designers to define and deliver seamless user experiences
• Write unit, integration, and end-to-end tests to maintain code quality and reliability
• Monitor frontend performance and optimize page load times and interactivity
• Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and UI/UX improvements

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in frontend development with JavaScript/TypeScript
• Strong experience with React.js and Next.js
• Solid understanding of modern HTML, CSS (TailwindCSS or similar), and JavaScript/TypeScript
• Experience integrating with REST APIs (GraphQL experience is a plus)
• Familiarity with state management libraries (Redux, Zustand, React Query, or similar)
• Understanding of frontend performance optimization and SEO best practices
• Experience with version control (Git) and CI/CD pipelines for frontend deployments
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

Nice to Have

• Experience with testing frameworks (Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress, etc.)
• Familiarity with Google Cloud services (for integrating backend/frontend)
• Exposure to accessibility (a11y) best practices
• Experience with containerization (Docker) for local development
• Familiarity with design systems and tools like Figma for smooth collaboration with designers
