Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented Data Migration and Reporting Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in SQL Server and Power BI, with experience in data migration, daily data updates, and report creation. This role is crucial for ensuring data integrity and providing actionable insights to leadership through effective reporting and dashboard solutions.
Responsibilities
- Migrate data from source tables to target tables in SQL Server.
- Develop and maintain SQL jobs to ensure daily updates of data.
- Create and optimize data models for reporting purposes.
- Design and generate reports in Power BI for leadership consumption.
- Provide custom views and dashboards to enhance data accessibility and user experience.
- Utilize Power BI utilities to improve overall user experience and engagement.
Mandatory Skills
- Proficient in SQL Server, SSIS , including data migration and job scheduling.
- Strong experience with Power BI, including report creation and dashboard development.
- Solid understanding of data modelling concepts and best practices.
- Ability to write efficient SQL queries for data manipulation and reporting.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with ETL processes and tools.
- Familiarity with data visualization best practices.
- Knowledge of additional reporting tools or languages (e.g., Tableau, Python).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 1-3 years of relevant experience in data migration, reporting, and analytics.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to present complex data insights clearly.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple tasks effectively.
